Pellegrini Opera, Ottawa’s premiere opera company, proudly presents Puccini’s iconic work, Madama Butterfly on Saturday, September 22 at 7:30 pm in a one-time performance at the Ukrainian Banquet Hall on 1000 Byron Avenue in Ottawa.

The performance with acclaimed soprano Maria Knapik in the title role of Cio Cio San, and tenor Corey Arnold as Lt. B. F. Pinkerton, with Danielle Vaillancourt as Suzuki and James Levesque as Sharpless, will be presented semi-staged in concert with chamber orchestra led by Music Director Andrew Ager. Also starring Grayson Nesbitt as Goro, Ryan Hofman as Zio Bonze, Abigail Freeman as Kate Pinkerton, and Marek Korkusinski as Prince Yamadori.

Vincent Thomas who has been Artistic Director of Pellegrini Opera for four years, once again is spearheading this production – a significant undertaking to maintain and nurture opera and its up and coming artists in the nation’s Capital.

"I'm very excited to welcome you to this unique presentation of Puccini's masterpiece, Madama Butterfly. Thank you so much for your support of Ottawa classical talent and high culture."

The opera will be sung in Italian with surtitles in English and French. Audience members will also be treated to hors d’oeuvres before and after the production along with a cash bar and door prizes to complete the evening’s festivities.

Doroczny piknik parafii Św. Jacka odbędzie się w niedzielę 23 września 2018.
Piknik rozpocznie się, jak co roku, Mszą św. o godz. 13:00.
