Invitation to a screening of the documentary “Erase the Nation”

- Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6:30 pm. at Club SAW

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland, in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine, is pleased to invite you to a screening of the film “Erase the Nation” directed by Tomasz Grzywaczewski – a profoundly moving documentary on the Russian crimes against Ukraine's cultural heritage.

Date: Wednesday, February 22, 2023
Time: 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Location: Club SAW, 67 Nicholas Street, Ottawa

“Erase the Nation” documents the destruction of Ukraine's cultural heritage – archives, libraries, museums, monuments, religious institutions and schools – by the Russian Federation's troops since February 24, 2022. The documentary was commissioned by the Polish National Institute of Cultural Heritage within the framework of activities of the Support Centre for Culture in Ukraine.

The film screening will accompany the “New Lives, Same People: Ukrainians in Wartime” photo exhibit, presented by the Ukrainian Canadian Advocacy Group in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine, and held at the Club SAW on February 21 to 24, 2023.

Jan Jekielek - The Epoch Times

Jan Jekielek is a senior editor with The Epoch Times and host of the show "American Thought Leaders." Jan’s career has spanned academia, media, and international human rights work. In 2009 he joined The Epoch Times full time and has served in a variety of roles, including as website chief editor. He is the producer of the award-winning Holocaust documentary film "Finding Manny."
