The
exhibition
showcases
meaningful
contributions
from over 70
Canadians.
Guests will
experience
personal
kitchen
memories
through
photographs,
recipes,
cooking tools,
and sensory
elements like
sound and
smell. From
Jewish honey
cake to
Cameroonian
chin chin,
Punjabi
parathas to
Polish
Pierogies
it is a
heartfelt
tribute to the
food stories
that connect
us all.

time, visitors
are invited to
reflect on the
experiences of
a wide range

communities.

stories,
photographs,
artifacts, and
kitchen
objects, this
exhibition
highlights how
the
preparation
and sharing of
food can hold
powerful
memories and
help shape new
ones.

participants

their stories
and offered a
glimpse into
their
kitchens.

of kitchen
artifacts and
objects that
evoke your own
memories and
inspire new
culinary
discoveries
- Multisensory
experiences
including
videos, audio

soundscapes,
smell, and
even taste in
the adjoining
Demonstration
Kitchen.
- Young
visitors can
get creative,
explore new
ideas, and
connect with
food and
culture
through
hands-on fun
in the
accessible
Lil’ Chefs
Play Kitchen.

Made in the
Kitchen
invites
visitors to
explore the
stories,
traditions,
and cherished
objects from
diverse
kitchens
across Canada.
Developed in
collaboration
with over 70
community
participants,
this
multisensory
experience
features
photographs,
artifacts and
interactive
play kitchens.
It’s the
perfect spot
for curious
kids and
grown-ups
alike!
